Klaviyo vs Omnisend for a small fashion store — honest experiences?

We're at about 2,000 subscribers and Klaviyo's bill is starting to hurt relative to what we actually send (one campaign a week + the standard flows).
Has anyone actually switched to Omnisend? Did you lose anything that mattered? Our flows are welcome series, abandoned cart, browse abandonment and a post-purchase cross-sell. Nothing exotic.
Not looking for a feature list, I can read those. Looking for "we switched and here's what surprised us".
Accepted solution

Switched about six months ago at roughly your size. What surprised us:
- Migration was easier than expected. Contacts, tags and consent status all came over. Flows you rebuild by hand but the templates are close enough that it took an evening.
- Deliverability didn't change in any way we could measure.
- Segments are less flexible. If you build complex ones ("bought X but not Y, opened 3 of last 5 emails") you'll miss Klaviyo. For our four flows it didn't matter.
- The thing I actually miss is predictive analytics (expected next order date etc). Nice to have, not something we acted on.
- Bill went from ~$60 to ~$30.
Would do it again.

We went the other direction (Omnisend → Klaviyo) when we passed 15k subs because we wanted the segmentation. At 2k I'd stay cheap.

Third option nobody mentions: just downgrade your Klaviyo plan. Their free tier goes to 250 contacts but the paid tiers step in small increments. Check you're not on a tier sized for a list you had six months ago — we were paying for 5k when we had 3.1k.

Jonas — checked, we were actually on the right tier, but good call. Selin, that's exactly the kind of answer I was after. Going to run both in parallel for a month with the same flows and compare.

Month is up. Open and click rates within noise of each other. Revenue attributed to flows basically identical. Cancelled Klaviyo. Only regret is not doing it sooner.

Late to this but +1 on downgrading the plan first. We were two tiers too high for a year without noticing.
