Back-in-stock alerts without paying per notification

Small ceramics shop, everything is made in batches so things go out of stock constantly. I just want a "notify me" button that emails people when I restock. Email only, no SMS.

Every app I've looked at is either $20+/mo or charges per notification sent, which for me is backwards — the whole point is that my products sell out.

Is there a cheap or free option that just does the one thing?

A few of the popup/forms apps have a back-in-stock form as a feature on their free tier, and since they charge by monthly visitors instead of notifications, a small store stays free indefinitely. That's how we do it — the form sits on the product page, the email goes out through the same app. Not as polished as a dedicated app but it's one line item less on the bill.

Hadn't thought of that angle at all. Trying it this weekend.

Also check if your email app already does this. Some of the mid-tier ones have a back-in-stock flow trigger built in and people never notice.
